Thomas "Brian" Wilbur, age 60, of Sidney, passed away in Sidney, NE on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Church of the Nazarene in Sidney, NE with Pastor Lee Eads officiating. Cremation has been held. Last ride and final page by Potter Volunteer Fire Department and Full Military Honors at the Potter Cemetery in Potter, NE.
A reception will follow at the Potter Youth Center. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-6:00 P.M. sign Brian's book. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family for later designation.

Brian was born on November 19, 1962 to Thomas Arthur and Constance (Martin) Wilbur in Lompoc, CA. Brian was joined in life two years later by his brother Mike Wilbur.
Brian joined the US Marine Corps in 1980 and served two tours with the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion. After separating from the Marine Corps, he started a custom furniture business in Yerington, NV where he met Nebraska native Tonita in 1992. Shortly after Brian relocated to western Nebraska with Tonita, daughter Atinot and son Kyle and began calling it "Home". In 1995 Brian and Tonita had a son, Thomas C. Wilbur. In 2018 Brian and Tonita adopted Jacina, Ekacia and Eliza as their own daughters.
Brian was instrumental in helping so many people in his life. He was a mentor and guide to so many in the community, especially being a guiding hand in the lives of veterans once they returned home.
Survivors include his wife, Tonita, daughters Atinot, Jacina, Ekacia and Eliza and sons Kyle and Thomas and wife Paola, brother Mike Wilbur, uncle Glenn Williams and granddaughters Justice and Jazmynn.
He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Arthur Wilbur and grandparents Mary and Bill Williams and Thelma and Bill Wilbur.
