Brian Richard Young

Brian Richard Young, 84, of Bellevue, Washington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Legends at Silver Creek. Born on July 9, 1941, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Wilbur and Helen (Mayti) Young.

Brian earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and later a second bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. He worked for many years as a systems analyst with Boeing Avionics before retiring. Brian had a lifelong passion for reading and could often be found immersed in books of every kind.

Brian is survived by his sister, Pamela Chapman; his 3 nephews, Stephen Dale, Thomas Dale, and James Dale; 14 great-nieces and nephews; and 6 great great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gerald Chapman.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.
