Brian Zemcik, age 50, of North East, passed away on Saturday August 17, 2024 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on January 6, 1974 in Erie, PA to Richard James and Roxane Marie (Chimera) Zemcik.
Brian graduated Sherman Central High School and lived and worked his entire life in Ripley, NY and North East, PA. He was a very "free spirited" person living his life his way and never showing worry about anything. If a friend or new acquaintance needed help, Brian was always there with a smile on his face. Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He was a gentle and kind person who will be sadly missed.
Brian was preceded in death death by his adopted daughter, Aaliyah Dillen-Steele; maternal and paternal grandparents; and cousin, Kyle Chimera.
He is survived by his parents of Ripley, NY; fiancée, Jennifer Bennet of North East; children, Britton and Zachary; adopted son, Dawson Dillen of North East; sister, Mary Mowers (Timothy) of North East; brothers, Michael Zemcik (Dawn) of Sherman, NY, and Thomas Zemcik (Sarah) of Mayville, NY; stepchildren, Jordan and Mackenzie; best friend, Karma Jean; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the AHN Cancer Institute and also the Hospice nurses during this difficult time.
Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at North East Cemetery.
