Candace Anne (Tarbell) Zemcik, age 74, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Dunnegan, Missouri.
Born on August 29, 1950, in Union City, Pennsylvania, Candace was the daughter of loving parents, Garner Lawrence and Evelyn (Lewis) Tarbell. She attended General McClain High School in Edinboro and continued her education at Edinboro College.
Candace built a meaningful career as an administrative assistant at Millionaire Aviation.
She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Robert Leon Zemcik. Together they raised two children: son, Steven Robert Zemcik, and daughter, Michelle (Zemcik) Kobus and her husband Eric, Sr. Candace took great joy in watching her family grow and flourish. She was a proud grandmother to Joseph Robert Zemcik, Eric William Kobus Jr. and his wife Jennifer, and Austin Caleb Kobus and his wife Abygail. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Emmitt Kobus and Elliott Kobus.
Candace was one of seven siblings and maintained close bonds with her brothers and sisters throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Tamara (Todd) Zuck, Veronica "Niki" (Jay) Salorina, Robyn (Ed) Kovschak; brothers Garner "Buck" (Kitty) Tarbell and Timothy Tarbell.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, and brother, Jesse Tarbell. Sadly, her husband, Robert, passed away only hours of Candace's passing.
Outside of her professional and family life, Candace found peace and pleasure in reading and gardening.
May the memory of Candace bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service for both Robert and Candace will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania
