Bridget Shirazi

Bridget Brezee Shirazi, 71, of Pompton Lakes, passed away on December 6, 2023.
Bridget lived a life of adventure. She was born in Goa and then moved to Kuwait after marrying her beloved husband, Blaise. They lived there for 15 years, raising their 3 children before immigrating to the US during the Gulf War. Life was never easy and full of challenges but Bridget always saw the bright side of life, refusing to let circumstances bring her down. She loved her family passionately and was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren. Her love language was food and she was known as the best cook amongst those who were fortunate to eat at her table. Her love for travel never wavered and she continued her travels solo from the Middle East to all the way to Australia.
Those who knew her loved her for her kindness, humor, and generosity. She was always the life of the party. She would give you her last dollar, always confident in her belief that God would take care of her. Most importantly, Bridget was a warrior who battled breast cancer during the height of Covid. Her unwavering strength and determination to beat cancer was an inspiration to all.
Bridget is survived by her children, Gayle Lundy and her husband James, Karen Shirazi-McGowan and her husband Brian, and Jaime Shirazi and his wife Kristen; and her grandchildren, Caleb and Finn McGowan, Lila and Hanna Lundy, and Hudson and Hunter Shirazi. She was predeceased by her husband, Blaise.
Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday, December 10 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Monday at Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church, Pompton Lakes. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
