Bridgett Walker, transitioned peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was 64 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 9,1961, to the late Birdie Salley, Bridgett was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from the New York City Public School System.

Bridgett dedicated her professional life to caring for others, working for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at various nursing homes in the Virginia Beach area. She brought a fun-loving and vibrant spirit to everything she did. She found immense joy outdoors, particularly the beach and fishing, though crabbing remained her absolute favorite pastime.

In 2013, she married Curtis Walker, she became a widow in 2017. She was also predeceased by several siblings: sisters: Albertha Brown, Patricia Brown, and her twin sister Bernadette Salley; brothers Arthur "Bernard" Brown and Laverne Salley.

Bridgett was a devoted mother of five extraordinary children and a grandmother of eleven beautiful grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much. She was a wonderful mother, sister, friend, aunt, and cousin whose presence will be sorely missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Nephteria B. Salley (Sunnie), Carla A. Salley (TJ), Jonathan R. Salley (Hey Boo Boo), Ashley N. Salley (Missy), and Eboni T. Davis (Rabbit); her eleven beloved grandchildren; and her siblings: Andre Salley Sr., Kevin Salley, and Gloriadeen Salley.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Chesapeake Chapel. Rev. Andre Salley will officiate. Friends and family are invited to share memories and offer condolences at www.altmeyerfh.com
