Brigitte Sorenson

Brigitte Sorenson, 72, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday March 8, 2023, at Aurora Memorial Medical Center Sheboygan. She was born August 17, 1950, in Germany to Helmuth and Lore (Husmeier) Lohoff. In 1953 she moved to Cleveland with her parents. Brigitte attended Trinity Lutheran School and Urban Middle School. She graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1968. She then went on to study at Milwaukee Lutheran Nursing School. Brigitte became an official U. S. citizen on December 9, 1971, something she was very proud of. On July 21, 1973, she was united in marriage to Paul Sorenson of Sheboygan.
Brigitte was a registered nurse who spent the majority of her career working at Aurora Memorial Medical Center Sheboygan working in cardiac care/ intensive care.
Brigitte deeply loved her family and friends. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church where she participated in many activities including vacation bible school. She enjoyed being a girl-scout and cub-scout leader for many years. She always liked a good coffee and loved her chocolate. Most of all, she loved cheering on the Badgers and especially the Brewers. She almost never missed a Brewer game and absolutely relished any chance she got to go to a game in person.
Brigitte is survived by her husband Paul, her son Nick, her sister Christine (Karl) Schwanke, her sister-in-law Kristyn Lohoff, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John (Kristyn) Lohoff.
A private family service will be held.
