Bro. Joe Mobley of London, Kentucky was born on August 9, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of the late John W. Mobley and Ruby Bailey Mobley. Joe was united in marriage to Judy Haywood Mobley who survives of London. He is also survived by three children, Mary King and husband Steve of London; Dr. John Mobley and wife Sheena of Princeton, Kentucky; Julie Vannatter and husband Marty of Cassatt, South Carolina; three siblings, Bill Mobley (late wife, Louanne), George Mobley and wife Aleah both of Columbus, Ohio; Lillian Rash and husband Earl of Haines City, Florida; eleven grandchildren, Andrew King, Ryan Vannatter, Mary Vannatter, Will Mobley, Jackson Mobley, Beau Mobley, Graeson Mobley, Cooper Mobley, Addison Mobley, Garner Jude Mobley and Magnolia Mobley; eight great-grandchildren, Ansley King, Conrad King, Coye King, Parkir Mobley, Warrin Mobley, Arthir Mobley, Luca Vannatter and Theo Vannatter plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Ethan King.

Robert Joseph Mobley went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 24 days of age.

Bro. Joe was known as a sincere servant of God who boldly preached the Truth of Jesus. Joe spent most of his ministry as a full-time evangelist traveling the country and world preaching about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. One of his main evangelical fields was in Haiti where his ministry, Crusades for Christ, sponsored many schools, orphanages and churches and fed many Haitians for more than 30 years. He loved meeting new people and being given the opportunity to preach.

Bro. Joe and Judy were married in Columbus, Ohio, in 1963. Robert Joseph Mobley accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1967 and surrendered to preach in 1970. Shortly after accepting the call to preach, he moved his family to Pineville, Ky to attend Clear Creek Baptist Bible School, graduating in 1974. He and Judy continued their education at Cumberland College, both graduating a few years later. After graduation the family moved to London, Ky where Judy began her career as a teacher and Bro. Joe began his evangelistic ministry.

Bro. Joe was known far and wide for his sense of humor and his red socks. He used the socks to start conversations with people explaining the socks represented standing in the blood of Christ.

Joe served his country as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, serving 1962-1970.

Joe loved his family, constantly talking about them everywhere he went. He displayed the love of Christ and his faith to his family with every interaction. First with his children, then with his grandchildren and even his great-grandchildren.

Bro. Joe has been a soldier in our Lords army and will be remembered as such. He shared his witness everywhere to anyone.

He helped other ministries without question. The loan of his tent helped start a tent ministry in Cranesville WV and it has continued every July for the past 13 years.

His rewards will continue to mount up though he´s already present in heaven.
Thank you Bro. Joe for your steadfastness and caring spirit. We will see you soon.
