Funeral Services for Brody Kyle Hardie, age 13, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Dr. Jeremy Williams will officiate the service.
A native of Picayune, MS, he was a Student at Picayune Memorial Jr. High School, member of the Jr. High School Band. Brody played the Saxophone. He loved fishing, kayaking and his cat Bean. Brody asked a million questions all the time but he was pure hearted and loved with his entire heart. He never met a stranger and always shared some light to everyone he met. He was joy and happiness all bottle up in a little boy. Brody was a active member of Goodyear Baptist Church, he enjoyed being with the youth group and serving the community. Brody will be missed deeply by his family and friends. The impact of a life isn't measured in the length of years but in lives touched-- Brody's life has left a profound impact on the lives of all of us who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Billy Joe Mitchell, Charlotte Mitchell, Hubert "JR" Seals, Rod and Pansy Hardie; uncle, Zachary Kyle Hardie
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Roderick Hardie, III; mother, Stephanie (Chris Couture) Mitchell; sister, Madison Bailey; brother, Thomas Mitchell; grandparents, Sara and Terry Green, Roderick Hardie, Jr., Mike and Nancy Hayes, Stephen Mitchell, great grandparents, James and Patsy Hallberg, and Sarah Jane Seals; numerous aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.
