Mr. Charlie E. Hardie, 79, of Gatesville, North Carolina peacefully transitioned from this life on Thursday September 25, 2025. Born on May 17, 1946, Charlie lived a life full of love, laughter, and joy that touched all who knew him.

Charlie was a devoted husband for over 55 years, a proud father, and a loving grandfather. His family was the center of his world, and he poured his heart into every moment he shared with them. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his generous spirit, and his ability to make everyone around him feel special.

Known as the life of the party, Charlie had a gift for bringing joy into every room he entered. His passion for music and his love for singing brought countless smiles to family and friends alike. Whether he was sharing a song, a laugh, or story, Charlie had a way of lifting spirits and leaving lasting memories. To know Charlie was to know a man who valued love, family, and fellowship. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of joy and love will live on through those he leaves behind.

A viewing and visitation will take place on Friday Oct. 3, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday Oct. 4, 2025, 12 noon at New Middle Swamp Baptist Church.

Final resting place will be at New Middle Swamp Church Cemetery.
