Bronte was born to parents Marvin Ray Standifer and Ruth Shirley Thorpe
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Marvin Standifer Jr (Butch)
and Stephen Standifer.
Bronte is survived by wife, Nancy Parker Standifer and sons Eric Paul Standifer and
Corey Matthew Standifer, 3 grandsons, Bronte Scott Standifer, Ryan Standifer and Andrew Standifer
Sisters, Michelle, (Missy) Standifer and Tonya Murphy.
Nieces and nephews, and his beloved little dog Chewy, who was his constant companion.
Bronte and Nancy were together almost 60 years. Started dating in high school
at 14 and 16 years old, from 1966 to 2025.
They had many wonderful travel adventures of yearly extended family trips to Crystal Beach, and many times to Mexico and Europe. They were planning a trip back to Europe when he became ill. Unfortunately he didn't get to take that trip.
Bronte was a Mechanical Engineer and Technician. He started in the printing industry from the age of 18, and worked at many printing companies in Austin.
He then went to work for Heidelberg Eastern Asiatic Corporation, in Germany. He traveled all over the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe for the next 24 years.
He was on the road 5 days a week; sometimes in two states, or two countries in one week.
He left Heidelberg and went to work for Muller Martini Corp. in Switzerland, traveling again in mostly the US.
He decided to go independent and start his own business in the same field. He was very successful and could barely keep up with the customer calls.
He retired in 2018, however customers kept calling, so he would have them hold the phone to a machine and listen to it. He could tell what was wrong, and talked the customer through the repair.
The whole family relied on his knowledge on so many things.
He loved deer hunting and was on a lease with family since the age of 18. He made his own ammunition and recruited all the boys into helping him.
He always had a corny joke or tried and true story to tell
He was loved by all his family and friends, and will be forever missed
