Alisa “Brooke” Raufeisen
Brooke, the cherished daughter of Greg and Jolie, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the age of 24.
She was a daddy’s girl, and they shared a special loving bond. Greg was her best friend and biggest supporter. Brooke and Jo, never mom - always “Jo”, spent a lot of time together traveling to pageants and had heartfelt conversations while on the road. They were very different in the way they saw the world but helped each other appreciate the world from each other’s perspective.
Brooke loved with her whole heart. She was a motivating, compassionate sister to Derek. She was a shining light to her Godsister, Sydney, who considered her an inspirational confidant and soulmate.
Brooke was beautiful in so many ways. In her teens she was a pageant queen, figure skater and a badass Lacrosse player. She was a big Disney fan; Brooke had been to Disney World at least 20 times, on 4 Disney Cruises and even to Disneyland in California on a family trip. Recently Brooke shared with her family that her favorite childhood memories were times spent on the Disney Cruises.
She was wise beyond her years. She supported and took care of others, and she loved her cats- Lilo and Oraya. She lived life on her own terms. She was a free spirit and spiritual in her own way. She understood things in this world on a different level. She challenged others to follow their own path. Brooke touched so many people in her life and encouraged others to look at the good things in life and be thankful. She was taken too soon. The world won’t be the same without her, but she left a mark on everyone she met.
A celebration of Brooke’s life will be held at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis IN 46221, on Monday, October 28th from 2pm to 6pm.
She very much enjoyed working at Yard House and shared stories about the amazing people who were part of her young life when she worked there. Yard House at 15 West Maryland Street Indianapolis, IN 46204, has invited family and friends to join them from 7pm – 9pm on Monday where they are welcome to purchase food and beverages and continue Brooke’s celebration with her work family whom she loved dearly.
The family requests everyone wear bright colors. Dress as casually as you like - Hawaiian shirts, anything pink - whatever you are comfortable wearing. The family would like her celebration of life to be as colorful as Brooke was.
Brooke loved giving and receiving flowers. Bokay Flowers has worked with the family to offer bouquets with Brooke’s favorite flowers and colors. Bokay is offering a discount with free delivery and can be reached at (317) 253-2323.
