Flanner Buchanan - Decatur TownshipLovina "Vina" Kay Redmon, 63, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on September 15, 2025.
She was born on September 10, 1962 in Hawthorne, California, and moved to Indianapolis as a young girl, where she spent the rest of her life surrounded by family and friends. Vina was the daughter of Bill and Gladys Owens and the sister of Sandy Owens.
She was a loving mom to Tammy Woods, Josh Hudson, and Brad Hudson, and a caring stepmom to James Redmon and Johnnie Redmon. She dearly loved her grandchildren—Isaac, Chase, Noah, Alicia, Caitlin, Lyla, Phoebe, Jease, and Javier—who brought her so much joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Redmon.
Vina’s greatest joy was her family. She was known for her caring heart, her thoughtfulness, and her fun-loving spirit. She delighted in thrifting and gifting, always finding treasures to share with others. Her humor, warmth, and generosity will be missed by all who knew her.
Vina’s faith was simple and steady, and she carried it with her in her own way throughout her life.
She will be remembered as a funny, kind, and loving woman who brought joy to those around her.
Vina was a dog lover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in memory of Vina be made to any Humane Society in the area.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Aberdeen Clubhouse, 8680 Walnut Grove Bend, Camby, Indiana 46113.
