Bruce Allen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bizub Quinlan Funeral Home - Van Houten on Mar. 7, 2026.
Bruce J. Allen, 72, of Lodi, passed away with his wife and daughter at his bedside holding his hands on March 6, 2026, after a life filled with gentle love and the joy of the simple pleasures that nature could afford a man. Born in Bronx, NY, on August 28, 1953, Bruce's warm spirit and dedication to his family were the cornerstone of his life.
Bruce is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne (nee Kimbel) Allen, of Lodi; their daughter Jamie Kearney and her husband, Jimmy, of Fair Lawn and their children, Alex and Emma, who were the center of their grandfather's loving nature.
Bruce was sadly predeceased by his son, Russell Louis Allen in 2023 as well as by his two brothers, Paul and Clifford Allen, and his sister, Judith Allen. His parents, Louis Sheldon Allen and Eleanor (nee Pinto) Allen, also predeceased him.
Bruce spent the last forty-four years living in Lodi, which he grew to call home. He spent his career as a truck driver, last with Sweeney Transportation, formerly based in Hackensack. His dedication to his work was only rivaled by his passion for fresh-water fishing with his fishing pole at times known to be acompanion in his truck, in hopes of finding a pond during his lunch break to drop a line in.

Memorial Visiting will be held on Saturday March 14th from 2-4pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
