Peter Paul Sagan

Peter Paul Sagan, a cherished brother, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Hawthorne, NY. Born on June 12, 1955, in Paterson, NJ, Peter's kind and gentle spirit was a beacon of light to all who knew him throughout his 70 years of life.

Peter spent his formative years in Clifton, where he attended St. Michael's Grammar School in Passaic, followed by Clifton High School, laying the foundation for a life characterized by dedication and hard work. He carried the values of his education throughout his life, which were evident in his long-standing commitment to his work at the Upper Montclair Country Club, where he was employed for 17 years before his well-deserved retirement.

Raised in a close-knit family, Peter was predeceased by his loving mother, Loretta Sagan, and his father, Peter J. Sagan. He is survived by his devoted brother, Michael Sagan, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and an unbreakable bond. The two brothers were a testament to the enduring nature of family ties.

Peter's passion for life was paralleled by his love for music, particularly the Rock and Roll of the 1970s. His enthusiasm for the genre was infectious, and he could often be found sharing his favorite tunes with friends and family, creating a soundtrack for many cherished moments. His status as a "foodie" also brought joy to those around him, as he used his love for diverse cuisines to connect with others and explore the world through its flavors.

A lifelong parishioner of St. Michael Cathedral in Passaic, Peter's faith was a cornerstone of his existence. His involvement with the church community was a reflection of his commitment to his beliefs and the comfort he found in the fellowship of his congregation.

Peter's legacy is one of kindness, gentility, and the quiet strength that comes from a life well-lived. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his willingness to engage with others, and the subtle way he made the world a better place simply by being in it. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Cathedral Chapel, 415 Lackawanna Avenue, Woodland Park. Please meet at church.
