Obituary of Shannon Sagan
Shannon Sagan 53, of Farmingdale passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Shannon was a life-long Farmingdale resident. She worked as the operations manager at WildThings in Martha's Vineyard. Shannon worked as a pastry chef and had a passion for baking especially cakes. She was the owner of What's the Scoop Ice Cream Store in Farmingdale where she could often be found showcasing her talents of making and decorating cakes. She crocheted, enjoyed puzzles and games and enjoyed a good movie. Family meant everything to her, and she had a great sense of humor always making everyone laugh and smile with the wit of cracking a quick joke. Shannon loved her dog Scarlett yet being "Aunt Shanny" was all that mattered.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael "Mickey" and Margaret Sagan. Shannon is survived by her siblings, Blain Sagan, Kelly White (Keenan Wolf), Matthew Sagan (Amy), Kristine Cancellieri, Colleen Sagan (Michael Dianora), Kate Holamon (Brian), Mark Sagan (Jennifer Cory), and Sean Sagan; nieces and nephews, Jerry Lubcke (Becca), Michael White (Emily), Nicholas White (Zyanya), Alyssa White (Phil), Kyrsten Counts (Casey), Aiden Dianora, Jonah Gary, Avary Dianora, and Anna Rae Lyman; her canine companion, Scarlett; and great nieces and nephews;. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until her memorial service at 3:00 PM. If you are attending and have a photo of a cake that Shannon has made, please bring it with you. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale at the convenience of the family.
