Bruce's death was a shock to me as he and I grew up together in Fernwood. He was my best friend then as he was 4 days younger than me. He had a pony named Patches which we often rode down in back of his house. I called him often when he lived at home with Thelma and would make it a point to stop in and visit them when I came up from Texas. I also would stop in to see him after Thelma passed away. It hurt me bad when I learned of his passing. I found out about it on January 6. I will miss him the rest of my life.
