Bruce Robert Cranston of Sewell and Ventnor City, NJ passed away on March 27, 2024 after a long battle with CNS Lymphoma. Age 72. Beloved son of Violet Cranston (the late John). Devoted husband of Margaret Cranston (nee Peyton). Loving father of Nicole Murphy (Joseph) and Daniel Cranston. Cherished grandfather of Joseph and Peyton. Dear brother of Jacqueline Talley, David Cranston (Amy), John Sheetz (Mary), and the late Cheryl Trallo. Brother-in-law of Jeannette Brasek (the late Donald), Maria Hanlin (Joseph), Helene Staron (the late Richard), Theresa Black (Robert), and Suzanne Turnipseed (Jim). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a man of remarkable work ethic and mechanically inclined. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to his occupation as the Operator of a Refinery, exhibiting a passion for his craft that was truly unparalleled. He worked for Eagle Point Refinery in Westville, NJ and Paulsboro Refinery in Paulsboro, NJ. Those who knew him were touched by his larger-than-life personality and his warm, generous spirit. Bruce found joy in the simple things in life. He loved the beach and loved spending time with his friends. He loved all animals, especially cats, but above all, Bruce loved his family and will be missed dearly by them.
There will be a viewing on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Words of remembrance will begin at 12:30pm. Interment is private at the request of the family.
