Bruce Furgerson, Christ's beloved servant, put on immortality as He transitioned from this life into the presence of his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the age of 73.
He was known by many names and wore many hats spending his life and faith carrying out Kingdom business. To some he was B.A., Bruce Allen, Bishop, Brother, teacher, husband, and Poppy, but to Jesus he was friend.
Bruce attended Cutter Morning Star School District. Afterwards he served in the Navy and went on to be a licensed minister with the Associated Brotherhood of Christians where he took on many roles including Editor of the ABofC Herald. He served Grace Apostolic Church for 42 years as a minister, teacher, board member and resident "do whatever needs to be done." He embodied dedication to his Lord, family, friends and church
The highlight of his life was faithfully loving his family and passed on the blessing to continue the work of Jesus Christ by love, courage, faith, and unwavering dedication to the truth.
He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Linda, and his children Terra (Samuel) Goodin, Jason (Sara) Furgerson, grandchildren Maddison Goodin, Andrew Goodin, Layel Furgerson, Brycen (Carmelita) Furgerson, Noah (Tabitha) Furgerson, Preston Stone, and Greyson Furgerson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Langford Furgerson and Jewell Furgerson and his sister Marion Donnette Wright.
Arrangements for Bruce will be at Caruth Hale Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00. Service to follow at 2:00 with Pastor Harold Mauldin officiating and Bishop Humphreys officiating at the graveside.
