Alvie Ray "Snapper" Fikes

Alvie Ray "Snapper" Fikes Jr, 78, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away November 22, 2025. He was born August 21, 1947 in Hot Springs, to Alvie Fikes and Josie Fikes.
Alvie was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Fikes; mother, Josie Fikes; brothers, Milton and Freddie.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Janie Fikes; son Darrin Fikes (Misty); daughter Bridgette Howard (John); grandchildren, Parker, Andrew, Alex, and Olivia, as well as, a host of extended family and friends.
Alvie was best known as head of security for K-Mart dedicating 25 years of his life there. Also, as a CSO for the Hot Springs Police Department for 15 years, specializing in accident investigation. A Faithful member of Victory United Pentecostal Church, he was a devoted family man who loved dearly and never met a stranger.
Visitation will be noon to 2PM Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A celebration of Alvie's life will be 2PM Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Farrell and the Rev. Dennis Anderson officiating.
Pallbearers are Parker Fikes, Andrew Fikes, Alex Cheek, Geoff Talley, Mike Simmons, and John Tinney.
Honorary pallbearers are Stacy Roberts, Kevin Loy, Steve Barnett, Bruce Fikes, Jim White and the Hot Springs Police Department.
