Patricia "Lynn" Arnold Fikes.
Lynn, as most everyone called her, left this earth for her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 15, 2025. She was 77 years old.
She was born July 17, 1948 in Hope, Arkansas to Roy L. Arnold and Patricia Brown Arnold. Her family moved to
Hot Springs, Arkansas when she was a small child. When she was 16 years old, she met her future husband and the love of her life, Jack Fikes.Their first date was Jack's Senior Prom and the rest was history. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1966. They married January 20, 1967. They've celebrated 58 ½ years together. Their bond was a testament to enduring love, strength, and partnership through all their years together. She was blessed with a son, Paul in September 1970 and then a daughter, Jaclyn, in July 1980. She always said being a wife, mother and grandmother was the greatest gift and was truly a blessing to her. She worked at several different jobs through the years, but the job she enjoyed the most was always being there for her children's activities to cheer them on in whatever they were doing.
Her peace and happiness came from knowing and accepting her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of Oaklawn Missionary Baptist Church. She started attending when she was 6 years old. She lead Children's Chapel, helped in the church Nursery and Vacation Bible School for many years.
Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the traditions we carry forward and the love that surrounds us.
Those survivors left to cherish her memories are, husband Jack Fikes; Children Paul Fikes (Tonya Elkins) and Jaclyn Cooper (Jason Cooper, her bonus son); brothers Gil Arnold (Peggy Arnold); Johnny Ray Arnold; and Buddy Arnold(Tracy Arnold) and sister Anna Blocker (Chris Blocker); grandchildren Garrett Fikes; Lauren Fikes; Lexington (Lexi) Cooper; Landri Cooper; and Collins Cooper. She had several nieces and nephews.
Those awaiting her arrival in glory include her beloved mother, Patricia J. Massey; her father Roy L. Arnold; her grandmother Pearl Brown Anderson; her sisters Paula Faye Arnold and Betty Arnold Davis and brother-in-law Sonny Davis.
Please join us as we celebrate her life here on earth and rejoice in her new life in Heaven. "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8.
