A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Eatonton, GA.
Shirley was a woman of warmth, strength, and joy. She found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life-tending to her yard, casting a line while fishing, and cherishing every moment spent with her family. Her love for nature and her nurturing spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Charles Furgerson; her daughter Tonya Weed (Daniel); her son Wendell "Winky" Furgerson (Tina); and her beloved grandchildren: Devin Doyle, Kevin Weed, Jordan Weed (Indigo), Blake Furgerson, and Jake Furgerson (Becca).
Shirley's legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
