Bruce M. Gatewood Jr. Jr.

Bruce M. Gatewood Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. He was 55 years old.
Bruce was born in Hoboken, grew up in Jersey City and lived in Nutley before moving to Dover in 2003.
Bruce Gatewood was an extraordinary musician and teacher. He played with Leslie Gore, ELO2, and Deodato among others.
His playing could be heard on many television commercials and on Nickelodeon's Rugrats and Sponge Bob.
Most recently, Bruce could be found performing with High In The Mid 80s, Who On Earth, Pulse, the Peanut Butter and Jelly band and many others.
He gave the gift of music to the world and the many students he taught.
Bruce is predeceased by his father, Bruce M. Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Maria L. (nee-Hartmann), his son, Apollo M., his mother, Jenny Jo (nee-Lucignano), his sister, Jennifer. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Linda Hartmann; brother-in-law, Robert Hartmann and sisters-in-law, Donna Saric, Marlena Hartmann; as well as many nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 11:00a.m. at St Clement Pope & Martyr Roman Catholic Church. 154 Mt Pleasant Ave, Dover, NJ. Cremation: Private. Visiting hours are on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00a.m. at Church.
