Fish near the Coon Rapids Dam and Lake Cenaiko, as well as Whitetail deer population near Scandia are all now safer as Bruce Allen Kalk of Anoka, MN, 77, has passed in his sleep on Thursday, the 8th of August following health struggles.
Bruce, (known also as the Old Goat & Butch), was born in Stillwater, MN in 1946 to William Ernest Kalk and Lucille Norma Thovson. Having returned from Vietnam, Bruce landed employment as a Machinist until he retired. While working Bruce also Captained daytime and nighttime launch boats on Mille Lacs for several years on the side. Bruce enjoyed daily trips to the Coon Rapids Dam and surrounding lakes to find fellow angling sportsmen or veterans to chat with.
