Mr. William Bruce Kitchens, age 96, of Douglasville, went to be with his Lord peacefully on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026. Born February 2, 1930, to the late L.O. Kitchens, Sr. and the late Myrtis Couch Kitchens.

He was a longtime member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church in Mableton and also faithfully attended New Georgia Baptist Church for many years, both congregations holding a special place in his life.
Bruce shared 71 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, the late Mrs. Olive Patricia "Pat" Kitchens. He is survived by his children, Linda Kitchens Taylor; William "Bill" Kitchens, Jr. (Lynn); Gail Kitchens Morris (Mike); Michael "Mike" David Kitchens (Rachel); and Doris Kitchens; grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor Hicks (Phil), Brian Taylor, Jason Kitchens (Ashley), Amy Kitchens Love (Pat), Patrick Kitchens (Ashley), Lauren Rose Nelson (Chris), Kyle Morris (Ashley), Olivia Morris Giles (Tyler), Julia Kitchens Wooldridge (Zach), and Tye Kitchens (Shelby); as well as 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by six nieces and four nephews, along with their spouses.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Kitchens; grandson, Matthew Taylor; and son-in-law, Ronnie Taylor.
Bruce will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his long and faithful marriage, his strong faith, and his proud service to his country. He will be remembered for his remarkable ability to recall details, his gift for connecting people, and his love of conversation.
His life was a blessing, and he was loved beyond words. Having lived a long and full life, he leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the many generations of family who loved him.
