Bruce Wayne " Blu" McFadden, 67, of Owensboro died April 12, 2015, at his home. He was born February 8, 1948 in Owensboro to the late Willie J. and Myrtie Rea McFadden. Following his service in the U.S. Navy, he was a state trooper in Texas. He worked for Parr Trucking Company and later was a self-employed truck owner and truck driver. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and fishing and was a "gear head". He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, John R. McFadden, Douglas J. McFadden, James Willie "Sweets" McFadden and Alice Quasney. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McFadden; sons, Joshua Blu McFadden (Jennifer) and Jeremiah Blu McFadden both of Owensboro and Blu Shane McFadden of California; six grandchildren, Joshua Blu McFadden II, Jagur Blu McFadden, Oakley Blu McFadden, Luke Robert Jackson and Hunter and Kealeigh Shown all of Owensboro; thirteen nephews and three nieces. Services are 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Private burial is in Sorgho Baptist Church Cemetery.
