Sister Laurel (McLaughlin) Facey sent me the notice of Bruce McGraw's passing --a childhood friend. I too was brought up in the Queens Baptist Church with so many childhood memories. I believe Bruce McGraw served his country well and all his works are examples of a well-lived life. We are in God's Loving Care, now and forever. To the family, you have been blessed having this father in life. Respectfully sending to you my gratitude for having the entire McGraw family in my childhood. ~ Beverly McLaughlin

Bruce's father, Rev. Bruce G. McGraw, was my minister in Queens, NY. He encouraged me to attend college and helped my parents secure a scholarship for me. Bruce R. was my first "boyfriend" at the young age of 12 or so. He gave me a piece of candy - a Hershey's kiss. He was in my class one year. The teacher had him present a weather report every morning! What a fine person he was. I wish more were just like him in this world. It would be a better place.
