Bruce Neeper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries from Oct. 1 to Oct. 6, 2025.
Bruce Matthew Neeper, 64, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away on September 30, 2025. He was born on May 26, 1961 to the late Billy Mack Neeper and Barbara Moore Neeper.
Bruce started out as a gifted cabinetmaker by trade, then worked at the George Ranch as the blacksmith for their living history program which he said was "the best job I ever had". Then he "traveled each and every highway" (My Way as sung by Willie Nelson) as an outside sales rep for cabinet hardware. Some of his hobbies included collecting antique woodworking tools and knives, watching old Westerns and listening to music – especially Willie Nelson.
In his teens he enjoyed growing orchids in his green house and even grew an orchid that Debi – his high school sweetheart turned wife of 40 years - made into a corsage for their senior prom. He could recite the poem Jabberwocky by heart.
Bruce also enjoyed reading and telling the jokes from the local Spotlight newspaper. He was especially proud of his mustache, which he had since 1979. His smile, personality, and sense of humor will be missed.
Survivors include his wife Debra (Stratman) Neeper; son, William Neeper and Isabella Serimontrikul, sister Julie Villaescusa and Doug Villaescusa; dogs Wrinkles (aka Stinky Wrinks) and Peaches (aka Puppy Schwuppy); along with extended friends and family.
Visitation is Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:30 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home 3900 B. F. Terry Blvd (Highway 59 South at FM 2218), Rosenberg, Texas, 77471. Please wear jeans or casual attire to the visitation as Bruce could often be found wearing a tuxedo – a Texas tuxedo – jeans and a denim shirt.
