Bruce David Patterson

Bruce David Patterson, of Clarksville, VA, passed away on Monday, December 29th, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 14th, 1947, in Mississippi, Bruce was the son of the late Dennis and Elizabeth Sullivan Patterson. He was married for 53 years to the love of his life, Patricia Sheehan Patterson.

Bruce was known for his dedication and expertise in his career as a quality engineer. He began his professional journey at IBM in Manassas, where he honed his skills and developed a deep commitment to innovation and excellence. Eventually, Bruce realized his dream of entrepreneurship, opening his own successful business that stood as a testament to his hard work and passion. A proud patriot, Bruce served his country honorably in the United States Army in the Vietnam war, where he demonstrated the same resilience and dedication that he carried throughout his life. He was a dedictated member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, where he proudly lived and rode by their motto, "Vets helping vets."

He is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Dawn Clatterbuck (John) and Tracey Schartz (Tom); grandchildren, Justin Patterson (Alisha), Amanda Carrico (Jamie), Ryan Bruhns, Natalie Kreuzer and Eden Kreuzer; great grandchildren, Ira Patterson, Jaice Taylor and Renly Fullerton; niece & nephew, Denise Littleton and Ty Patterson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kellard "Kelly" Patterson.

A burial will occur at Quantico at a later date.
