Bruce Robertson Dent Crook, 91 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on October 2, 2025.
She was born on November 20, 1933, lived in Robertson County, Springfield, TN. The daughter of Holman Winn Robertson and Jamie Rudolph Robertson.
Bruce spent most of her life in Mississippi, married to James Kinkead Dent, Jr until his death in 1982. They had two sons, James Kindead Dent, III and Jamie Robertson Dent. She later married James “Jimmy” Crook until his death in 2018.
Bruce was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Holman Winn Robertson, Jr.
Surviving are two sons, James Kinkead Dent III of Goodlettsville, TN; Jamie Robertson Dent (Elaine), Ocean Springs, MS; three grandsons, Bruce Robertson Dent, William Frederick Dent and James Bailey Dent; stepson, Jim (Julie) Crook; step grandchildren, Rapp (Elizabeth) Crook and Ashton (Kara) Crook all of Elida, Ohio; sister-in-law, Karen Crook of Newark, DE.
The family suggests that memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs, 921 Ocean Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS 39564, French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, MS 39745 or the charity of your choice.
A private celebration of Bruce’s life will be held for her family at a later time.
