Bruce Raymond Schwerdt, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Janet Schwerdt; cherished son of the late Loretta and Carroll William Schwerdt; son-in-law of Harold and Barbara Coley; devoted father of Bruce Raymond (Sarah) Schwerdt, Jr., Jacob (Megan) Schwerdt, and Nicholas (Mariah) Schwerdt; loving grandfather of Ellie, Jack, Waylon, Thomas, and one grandson on the way; dear brother of Carroll (Cindy) Schwerdt, Jr., Brad (Maggie) Schwerdt, Ginger (Dale) Kluesner, Jeffrey Schwerdt, Craig (Missy) Schwerdt, and the late Rex Schwerdt; dog dad of Charlie; fun loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; and friend to many.
Bruce found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in his love for golf, sports, and hiking the creek looking for arrowheads. He especially loved coaching his boys in baseball, taking pride in guiding and inspiring them both on and off the field. Through his coaching, he touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on his sons and the players he coached.
More than anything, Bruce was a family man. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he relished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever. His vibrant spirit was an inspiration to all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor and always wanted to have fun and laugh, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.
Known for his generous heart, Bruce was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His kindness knew no bounds, and he was always the first to offer a helping hand. His legacy of compassion, joy, and dedication to both his family and his community will live on in the many lives he touched.
