Growing up a weather / science nerd in Boston Bruce was my hero! He resembled one of the Beatles, possessed boundless passion and energy, not to mention being "wicked smaht"! In fact my other idol Don Kent rated only second to Bruce's deep and profound influence on my life and career as a meteorologist. I learned more from his gifted teaching of weather concepts than books.! One day a crazy dream came true as he took me on as an intern then as an assistant! The book he gifted me as his "valued sidekick" is still among the most treasured in my library. While I'm greatly saddened by the news, his memory and legacy will live on!

I shall always remember Bruce, he truly was one of a kind in the best possible way. That great laugh and larger than life personality. Barbara we got to love each other because of him!!! My thoughts are always with you and the " kids", plus grand kids. Bonnie

Dear Schwoegler family,
I was so very sorry to learn of Bruce's death.
We were in high school together in South Milwaukee and graduated in 1961. It was always fun to be around Bruce. He was a great and respectful guy.
You are in our prayers at this most sad time.
Please accept our deepest sympathy.
We will miss our classmate and friend.
Sincerely,
Tom & Edie Batovsky
