Bruce "Turkey" Spaulding

Bruce Edward Spaulding, age 63 of Morganfield, KY, passed away Sunday, December 14, in Louisville, KY. He was born to James Sr. and Mary Spaulding in Morganfield. Bruce was a friend to everyone, sharing his wit, his wisdom and kindness; he never met a stranger.
He enjoyed barbequing and spending time with his friends and family; Bruce treasured each day.
He gave his life to the Lord and attended Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church as he was able.
He was known throughout the community as Turkey, derived from his incredible track years at Union County High School. Bruce served as a volunteer fire fighter in Morganfield for many years and was elected to the Morganfield City Council in November 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary; His siblings, Deborah, James Jr., and Lester; and his niece, Cheria.
He is survived by:
Brother Donald
Sisters Lee, Helen, Elaine, Myra, Meritta, Jackie, and Lona.
Stepdaughters Tiffany and Tamera.
Along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Bruce had many close friends who stood by him, and walked with him through the great times and not so great times of life.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 19th, with the wake at 11:00 AM, service to follow at 1:00 PM at Carr's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church located at 628 W. Main St. in Morganfield.
Bruce will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery after the service.
Repass will be held at St Ann's Parish Hall (401 W. Geiger St) in Morganfield.
