Roger Dale Rushing

Roger Rushing age 76 of Sturgis passed away on Wednesday December 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones after an extended illness under Saint Anthony Hospice Care. He was born December 15, 1948 to Hardin and Maudline Rushing in Caldwell County, Kentucky. Roger retired from Dotiki coal mines after 38 years. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting and fishing. Roger enjoyed cheering on his grandchildren in sports.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents Hardin and Maudline Rushing, his sons Rome Landon Rushing and Roger "Dale" Rushing Jr as well as 6 siblings Ronnie Oliver, Hayes Pinnegar, Brenda Rowland, Pat Rushing, Carl Oliver, and Dane Oliver.

The funeral will be at 2PM Monday December 15, 2025 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY. Brother Chris Wright will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11AM until service time on Monday December 15, 2025 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY.
Burial in Pythian Ridge Cemetery.
