Bruce Alan Suver, 80, of Onarga passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 14, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1944 in Danville, a son of Glen and Loretta Faye (Schultz) Suver and they preceded him in death in addition to two brothers, David and Daryl; and one sister, Bonnie Allen.
Bruce married Donna Ailey on December 27, 1963 in Woodland and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, John (Ronda) Suver of Dahlgren, Wade (Jonica) Suver of Woodland and Damon (Breein) Suver of Crescent City; one sister, Kathy (Butch) Bullis of Kansas City, KS; five grandchildren, Caleb (Alysha) Suver, Gavin (Michaela) Suver, Madelyn Suver, Wyatt Suver and Morgan Suver; five great-grandchildren, Whitley Suver, Norah, Willa, Janie and Brooks Suver; and several nieces and nephews.
Bruce was a member of the Slow Boys Tractor Club and the Woodland United Methodist Church, where he was a trustee. He was employed in the Ag Industry for 50 years, having worked at Agritech in Goodwine and then Nutrien. He loved spending time with his three sons and their families. He was the 4-H Superintendent of the Poultry & Rabbit Barn at the Iroquois County Fairgrounds and loved restoring tractors. In his free time, he loved gardening, mowing, yard work, camping, playing cards and board games.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka with burial to follow at Body Cemetery near Woodland.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
