Bruce Wohlgamuth Obituary

Bruce Wohlgamuth

09/15/1940 - 05/04/2025

Bruce N. Wohlgamuth, 84, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on May 4th, 2025, at Bay Park Hospital. Bruce was born September 15, 1940, in Willoughby, Ohio, to Ivo and Gertrude (Frieman) Wohlgamuth. Bruce was a professional truck driver for Chrysler Corporation, until retiring several years ago. In his spare time, Bruce loved being outdoors, golfing, taking rides on his cherished "57 Chevy look-alike" golf cart and watching his favorite team, Kansas City Chiefs, play football. Bruce served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He excelled in the Army, moving up in the ranks.

Surviving in his family are his wife, Winnie Wohlgamuth; sons, Jeff (Jean) and Andy (Joyce) Wohlgamuth; grandchildren, Sean, Kayla (Phillip), Cody (Autumn), Connor (McKenna), Madison (Dawson) and Emily (Khris); and great-grandchildren, Isabel, Madlyn, Easten, Kalvin, Maisyn, Karter and Kora. Bruce is also leaving behind a twin sister, Barb Beair; and his four legged companion, "Chief the Cat."

Visitation for family and friends will take place at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Elliston Cemetery. Bruce and I served in Vietnam together with the First Air Cavalry Division. We later served together at Ft Riley Kansas where we and our wives lived in Junction City. The 4 of us remained friends for many years and enjoyed some fun times together. Bruce's zany sense of humor always kept us laughing.
