Bruno Gacek Obituary
Bruno was a proud United States Air Force veteran and was known for his kindness, quick one-line jokes, and for being loved by all who met him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Gacek; daughter, Lynn (Mike) Waszak; daughter-in-law, Laurel (Matt) Gacek; his parents; and two brothers.
Bruno is survived by his loving children: daughter Lori (Bruce) Hardy; sons Bruno (Lisa) Gacek, Matt Gacek, and Mike (Nancy) Gacek. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation 3 to 7pm Sunday, January 4th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Guests are invited to meet the family for 11am Mass at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs on Monday, January 5th. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
