Bryan Bentley, a loyal and gentle soul whose love for family and friends knew no bounds, passed away at the age of 65, on October 9, 2024, in Inman, SC. He was born on May 6, 1959, in Hendersonville, NC, to the late, Roy Eugene Bentley and Glenda Sue Osteen Bentley.
Bryan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
As an outstanding musician, Bryan shared his passion for music through various stages of his life. He began his musical journey with the band Sundown. Over the years, he continued his love for music with the Mac Hill Project band. His commitment to worship was evident as he served as a member of the worship team at HUB City Church. Bryan's interests extended beyond music; he also loved to spend time playing golf whenever he was able.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candice Woolen Bentley of Inman; his daughter, Meredith McCrary (Mike) of Spartanburg, and son, Grant Bentley of Inman. Bryan also leaves behind his stepsons, Andrew Woolen (Catherine), and Ronny Johnson (Melissa), all of Texas. His two sisters, Royall Burns (Brent) of Hendersonville, NC, and Dedra Tindall (Mike) of Brevard, NC. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Elizabeth Gibson and Alexis McCrary.
Bryan Bentley’s unconditional love, his musical spirit, and his generous heart will remain within the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
