Bryan Blaker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home - Tidewater Drive Chapel on Jan. 22, 2026.
Bryan Keith Blaker, 64, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away on January 12, 2026 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Bryan dedicated much of his life to serving his country, a role he carried with deep pride and humility. Over 30 years in the United States Navy, serving as a Master Chief Nuclear Machinist Mate, he became known not just for his skill and leadership, but for the way he looked after those around him. He believed in doing things the right way, standing by his shipmates, and leading by example. Those who served alongside him remember his steady presence, quiet strength, and the respect he showed to everyone he met.
During his years of service, Bryan had the honor of serving aboard the USS Sims, USS Theodore Roosevelt, USS Mississippi, USS Arkansas, and USS Nimitz, forming lifelong friendships and memories that remained close to his heart.
Beyond his distinguished military career, Bryan's greatest pride was his family. It brought him such happiness knowing his children were thriving and building families of their own. His steady presence, quiet strength, and unique sarcastic sense of humor added color and levity to every situation. These qualities will live on in the memories and stories passed down by those whose lives he touched.
Bryan is survived by his loving wife, Linda Blaker, his five children: Shelby Chhen, Zachary Blaker, Bryanna Keller, Brittany Jones, and Jeremy Blaker, 11 grand-children, brother Brad Blaker, and sister Stacey Blaker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Ray Blaker, and mother, Karen Kay Blaker.
A graveside service, by invitation of the family, will be held on February 1, 2026, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 followed by a wake hosted by the American Legion at 3:00. The family invites all who knew and loved Bryan to honor his memory and celebrate a life defined by service, loyalty, and love.
Bryan's legacy will continue to live on through his family and the countless lives he touched throughout his years of dedicated service to his country and community.
