BRYAN CLATTERBUCK Obituary

CLATTERBUCK, Bryan C, 87, of Waynesboro / Stuarts Draft, Va., died August 19, 2011 in Richmond. Mr Clatterbuck was born January 7, 1924, in Keezletown, Va., and was the son of the late Layton A. Clatterbuck and Stella C. Clatterbuck. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro, Va., where he actively volunteered for many years. He also served as a volunteer for the Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels and other local organizations. He retired from AT&T Long Lines after more than 30 years of service. He proudly served in the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II, 1942-1946, entering Normandy through Utah Beach, D-Day+6. He was a 65-year Mason and a member of Potomac Lodge No. 5, F.A.A.M. of the District of Columbia. To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Elizabeth R. Clatterbuck of Waynesboro/Stuarts Draft, Va.; daughters, Jean Rummel (Tom) of Mechanicsville, Va., and Susan Walker (Gary) of Hagerstown, Md.; and brother Dean Clatterbuck (Sandy) of New Market, Va. He was very proud of his close family including grandchildren Laurie Lynn (James) and Kelly Wright (Todd) of Mechanicsville, Va., Bryan Walker (Jen) of Bel Air, Md. and Judith Brown (Justin) of Westminster, Md. He enjoyed his three great-grandchildren in Mechanicsville, Josie and Sophie Lynn and Dylan Wright. He always remained close to his Keezletown relatives. Dr Glen Holman, Pastor, will conduct his memorial service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Keezletown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army Waynesboro, 900 B Street, Waynesboro, Va., 22980 or to the Virginia War Memorial, 621 S. Belvidere St, Richmond, Va., 23220.
