Bryan "Ke-Ke" Keith Derry, was born on October 27, 1962 in
Trenton, NJ to Stanley Derry, Sr. and Josephine Silas and passed away at home on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Bryan, fondly known as "Ke-Ke" by family and friends, received his education through the Trenton Public School System. Ke-Ke was recently employed by Capital City Security. His protector duties extended beyond work, as he was also regarded as a protector and top-notch security for his family.
Ke-Ke was a lifelong and diehard fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He loved attending games to support and watch his #1 and favorite player-his beloved nephew, Ji'Ayir "Tig" Brown. Whether tailgating, attending the games, or watching the games at home, Ke-Ke wore his team colors proudly and he loyally and definitely loudly represented them. He celebrated the team's victories with an unrivaled enthusiasm. Ke-Ke was particularly excited about his team and nephew's recent Super Bowl appearance.
Ke-Ke had a passion for cars and bikes. If you ever heard a drop-top cruising down the street with loud music, you could bet it was Ke-Ke behind the wheel. He also had a passion for travel. Especially to places where he could engage in one of his favorite pastimes, swimming. Ke-Ke loved to enjoy life, savoring his favorite drinks with a cigar and cherishing each moment with family and friends.
Ke-Ke was a man who truly lived life on his own terms. He was fiercely protective of his family and his loved ones knew they could always count on him. He was someone who consistently went above and beyond to lend a helping hand. He was there to celebrate your accomplishments and let it be known how proud he was of you. Likewise, he never hesitated to point out and speak upon when someone was wrong, but he would quickly follow it up with laughter and a warm embrace, letting you know you were going to be alright.
He selflessly shared himself with everyone around him, always ready to be there when needed in whatever capacity. If you called on Ke-Ke, he answered. It was a guarantee that he would show up. Both family and those that were fortunate enough to call him a friend were blessed with a lifelong ally who had an unwavering loyalty. Many affectionately referred to him as Uncle Ke-Ke, a title he wore proudly, embracing everyone with open arms. His infectious laugh, spirit and love for life will be both remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ke-Ke was predeceased by his parents, Stanley Derry, Sr. and Josephine Silas; grandparents, Percy, Sr. and Mabel Cosby-Derry, and Charlie, Sr. and Eva Mae Hall; siblings: Debra Perry, Stanley Derry Jr., Darryl Warren, Sharon Alford, Dwayne Derry, Alfred Jackson, and Edon Jones; uncles, Robert and William Derry; aunt, Dorothy McCoy; nephews, Donny Derry, Sr., Daniel Garvin, Jr., Jason Gilchrist, Thomas Barnes, Dajon Rush, and Anthony Garvin; and niece, Jasmine Derry.
Bryan "Ke-Ke" leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Terus (Karen) and Darius Silas and Richard and Gregory Bronner all of Trenton; sisters, Sheila McDonald of Trenton and Jackie Hemmingway-Hicks of Willingboro, NJ; stepson, Shawn Hale; grandson, Jahmere Branch; great-grandson, Kasen Branch; aunt, Barbara Derry; uncles, Percy Jr. and Carl Derry, Charlie, Jr. (Ruthel) and Harold Hall, Sr. (Chrissy); longtime girlfriend, Barbara Hale. Ke-Ke held a special place in his heart for ALL his nieces and nephews, and shared a special bond with his niece, Joy Ingram, whom he was a father figure to. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, including lifelong "brothers", Andre Ingram, Charlie Hall III, Darwin Yusef Brown, Tobe Jones, Michael Jackson, Gilbert "Pud" Nickens, Dave Ford, Lafayette Sutphin, Marquise Patterson, and Robert Moreland.
It will not be easy to accept Ke-Ke's earthly absence. May he rest in peace, forever cherished in our hearts and memories.
