Bryan Efron Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sinai Mortuary of AZ on Feb. 11, 2026.
Bryan H. Efron, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on February 22, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Mordechai and Florence Efron, Bryan went on to earn a PhD in psychology and dedicated his career to improving the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For many years he served as CEO of New England Village in Pembroke, Massachusetts, a nonprofit providing residential, vocational, and enrichment programs for adults with these disabilities. His impact there was lasting - the Efron Center for Enrichment stands as a permanent tribute to his leadership and the belief he carried throughout his life: that all people, regardless of ability, can achieve more than we expect of them and touch lives in ways we may not anticipate.

Outside of work, Bryan was an avid golfer, poker player, and billiards aficionado who loved to travel, try new restaurants, and take cruises with his wife. But nothing brought him more joy than his family. His seven grandchildren were his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment with them.

Bryan faced prostate cancer with grace and strength over the past two years, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mordechai and Florence Efron, his sister Deborah Efron, and his brother Jay Efron. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Robin Efron; his children Stephanie Lorek (Chris), Melissa Efron-Everett (Dustin), and Corey Efron; his brother Steve Efron; and his seven grandchildren - Ilana, Blair, Miles, Quinn, Silas, Calista, and Chase.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Lilly and Blair Foundation, dedicated to finding a cure for de novo SPG4, a rare neurological condition affecting children, including his granddaughter Blair. To learn more, please visit www.lillyandblair.org.
