Bryan E. Kavanagh, 73, of Waterman Lake Dr., Chepachet, RI, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of 50 ½ years to Gladys L. (Cooper) Kavanagh.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Francis J. and Beverly J. (Affleck) Kavanagh.
Bryan was a self-employed Diesel Mechanic for many years before retiring. Bryan had a great affection for nature and the outdoors. Along with his wife Gladys, they loved traveling in their camper to all the National Parks and driving to Alaska. He was an active scuba diver for over 30 years and enjoyed nature photography and woodworking.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sisters, Susan Kavanagh of Manville, RI, and Laurie Burtchell and her late husband Wayne of North Attleboro, MA; his sister-in-law Denise Kavanagh of East Providence; his brother-in-law Thomas Gallagher of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William and Patrick Kavanagh and Bonnie Gallagher.
Visitation will be held on Thursday morning, April 6, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private for the family.
