Alfred "Fred" M. St. Angelo, 88, a lifelong resident of Barrington, RI, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Anna L. (Iacavone) St. Angelo, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage; a partnership grounded in love, respect, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and traditions that spanned generations. Anna was his partner through life's challenges and triumphs, and their enduring bond was a constant source of strength for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was the father of four daughters: Laurie Saleeba (husband Tom Saleeba), Lisa Silvia, Lynn Doyle (husband Brad Doyle), and Shari Silvia (husband Richard Silvia). He was the grandfather to eleven grandchildren, including Kevin, Stephanie, Derek, Kurt, Jarrett, Kyle, Spenser, Maegan, Trenton, Aiden, and the late Robert "Bobby" Silvia, and the great-grandfather to eleven great-grandchildren: Dilin, Tyler, Isaac, Cory, Amelia, Charles, Caroline, Carson, Saige, Xavier, and Logan.

Born to the late John and Florence (Diodati) St. Angelo, he was the brother of Michael, Anthony, John, the late Joseph, Astillodore, Giovanni, Joseph Jr., Vincent, Ralph, and his sister Mary (St. Angelo) Kalapinski.

Fred spent two years stationed in Germany and an additional two years in the active Army National Guard Reserves before returning home to begin a career in the trades, learning from seasoned craftsmen. He went on to found County Waterproofing and Restoration, later establishing Bay State Restoration. His businesses were built on the principles he lived by: discipline, quality, and generosity. Over the years, he mentored countless young tradesmen, and what he loved most was bringing family into the fold. He took pride in teaching and working alongside them, always looking out for their well-being and making sure they had the skills to succeed. For Fred, the business was not just about the work, it was about building a legacy with the people he cared for most.

An avid golfer, he was a member of Metacomet Country Club in East Providence, RI; Indian Hills Golf Course in Fort Pierce, FL; and Swansea Country Club in Swansea, MA, where he proudly earned titles including the 1990 President's Cup and 1996 Men's Net Champion. Golf brought him joy, friendships, and the chance to teach the game to his family and friends. Even in later years, when he no longer played, Fred found happiness riding along in the cart with his son-in-law Richard, soaking in the camaraderie and peace the game brought.

Aside from golf, he loved his morning coffees from Dunkin', often sitting on his porch with family nearby, and spending quiet moments at Colt State Park watching the ocean. Winters in Florida were special, filled with sunshine, card games, and plenty of laughter shared with loved ones. At home, he treasured poolside days and family cookouts, watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow older together and play in the pool. Family was at the heart of everything he did, bringing him great joy and lasting memories.

Fred's life was built on integrity, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family. He gave so much of himself through the example he set, the lessons he taught, and the quiet strength he carried. He was many things, but above all, he was deeply loved by those who knew him. We owe so much of who we are to him, and we will always be grateful for the life and love he shared with us. We will miss him beyond measure, remember him with love, and carry him with us in everything we do, as he rests in peace with our Heavenly Father.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hazelton Golf Club, 327 Summer Street, Rehoboth, MA, and a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 pm, followed by Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be greatly appreciated.
