It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bryan Lee Marchetti on October 18, 2024, at the age of 68. Bryan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Marchetti, and his loving daughters: Katie (Jason) Moultrie, Sarah Briggs, Jessica Briggs, Emily (Brian) Bollenberg, and Rachel Briggs. He also leaves behind his brother, Gary (Kathleen) Marchetti, seven cherished grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lino and Norrine Marchetti.
Bryan proudly served as a Lieutenant in the Detroit Fire Department before his retirement, where he was deeply respected by his colleagues and community. In addition to his dedication to his career, Bryan was an avid bowler and enjoyed many years of competitive and recreational bowling with friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., located on Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Park. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m., with a one hour visitation prior, followed by a luncheon in his honor.
Bryan will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of love, service, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Contributions may be made to the Metro Detroit Police and Fire Pipes and Drums in memory of Bryan.

I was Blessed to have attended the same Church, Mt. Calvary Lutheran, in Detroit. Fond memories of the Marchetti Family always imprinted in my heart. Played Mel Ott Little League Baseball with Bryan, and later bowled in City Lutheran League with Bryan. Wonderful Family memories of Lino (Lefty), Lorraine, Gary & Bryan. God Bless and Keep You All!! Bryan was an awesome neighbor that I consider my friend. He warmly welcomed me and my family to the neighborhood. His kindness, encouragement, and compassion was felt by my family and our neighbors. Bryan touched our lives and his kindness will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to Brenda and the entire Marchetti family. Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time.

I am so sad to hear the news that my classmate from Edwin Denby High School (1974) Bryan has died. His oustanding Detroit Fire Department career is a shining example of his service and his ability to serve the Detroit Community. His friends from bowling days - Stanley Wasilowski and Joe Perri - I know are grieving also. Sending all my prayers and thoughts to Brenda and daughters Katie, Rachel, Jessica, Emily, Sarah and his sons-in-law, grandchildren, and all Bryan's family and friends.
