In remembrance of Bryan James O'Sullivan, affectionately known as Sully B, born on June 28, 1963, in Tokyo, Japan. He was the son of the late Bartholomew Joseph O'Sullivan and the late Patricia Mary Dean, and stepson of the living Danny Dean.
Bryan is survived by his daughter Mary Patricia O'Sullivan and husband Justin Harwood, and their daughter, Delilah Grace. He is also survived by siblings Ken and wife Linda, Steve and wife Tracy, Diane Gomes and husband Jack, and Mike Dean wife Misty, as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews Melissa and Ryan O'Sullivan, Brittany O'Sullivan, AnnaMarie McNerney and Cheyenne Harman, Christina and Anthony Dean.. Bryan was preceded in death by his late brother Todd.
As a dedicated father to Mary and a proud grandfather to Delilah, Bryan's family was his anchor. Bryan and Mary spent many days bonding over the great debate of his decision to support the Washington Redskins football team. When Bryan was not cheering on the Redskins, he was spending time with his granddaughter. He spent many hours laughing with Delilah via FaceTime and in person. Any chance he was given to spend time with his daughter and granddaughter, he would take. These are the memories that Bryan lived for, as being a father and grandfather was his greatest accomplishment in life.
Bryan's faith was always of utmost importance to him. In his youth, he attended Norfolk Catholic High School, reaching his highest level of education. Bryan carried his faith into his adult life by regularly attending Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Bryan's professional journey reflected his drive and commitment. Starting as a real estate appraiser in a family-owned company, he concluded his career as a consultant for a Civil Engineering firm, retiring from CH2M Hill. His contributions also extended to the Woodrow Wilson bridge project at the Virginia Department of Transportation, where he served as a Right of Way Manager.
In the most recent years, Bryan loved tailgating at ODU football games with his friends. He was a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus in Norfolk and was known to spend countless hours on the water, backpacking, going to concerts, and listening to music. Bryan was known for his attention to detail and impeccable memory. He never met a stranger and was always recognized as the life of the party.
The family will receive guests from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, located at 1264 N. Great Neck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23454. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 154 W. Government Ave., Norfolk, VA 23503. There will be additional time to offer condolences to the family one hour prior to the start of the mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the American Heart Association or Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Condolences to the family! I didn't know him really, but Sully is one name I'll never forget. He was 2 grades ahead of me at Norfolk Catholic and I still remember between classes as we all scrambled to beat the bell, " Sully!!!!" echoing in the stairwell - his friends greeting him. The affection always warmed my heart. God rest his soul. Marie (Tautkus) Toure
