Bryan Orton, 57 of Burlington died Monday, March 13, 2023.
Born June 29, 1965 in Burlington, he was the son of Earl Edward and Evelyn D. (Brennan) Orton Jr.
Bryan graduated from Danville High School. He served his country in the United States Navy in 1987. He married Candace Jacobs and they later divorced in 2013.
Bryan worked at I.A.A.P. and was previously employed by General Electric. He was a strong supporter of his son.
Survivors include his son Aiden (Kylie Hernandez) Orton of Burlington; mother Evelyn of Danville, IA; brother Kevin Orton of Burlington and sister Diane (Russ) Dorsey of Des Moines, IA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl.
Bryan was a devoted father and a hard worker. He deeply cared for his son and loved him very much. His son was the most important part of his life. He enjoyed spending his time with his son and was often found playing video games, going on trips, watching movies, or enjoying music together. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
The graveside service for Bryan will be 10:00 AM Friday at Long Creek Cemetery in rural Danville. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Lunning Chapel. The Burlington Area Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
A memorial has been established for his son Aiden "Cala" Orton.
