I, Corbin Peters, am his cousin. I was 6 years old when he was killed. I remember my parents taking me to Pennsylvania for the funeral, and walking through the local school's gymnasium, which was filled with pictures and candles. My dad is preparing to be deployed to Iraq, and has pledged to "avenge" his cousin's death. I am truly proud to be related to this hero, and will honor him for his valiance and sacrifice. Thank you.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Bell Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son and husband's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved one who died serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address, as our organization can no longer get family contacts through the military. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

To the family of Senior Airman Bryan Bell.
There are those who go through life asleep. Those who talk about or wish they could do meaningful things. Bryan was not among them. He committed long ago to work in areas where he could save lives. For those like Bryan, who sacrifice their own lives for others, this is among the greatest comfort we hold. We taught Bryan many things, but courage is an attribute that he had inside all along. Courage is knowing there is real danger and still reaching deep, leaning forward and doing what has to be done. Bryan, your legacy is cemented among America's bravest and honorable. As a lesson to us all, your kind nature, gentle spirit and strong desire to be a great person in life is etched into everyone you touched. I wish this cup would have been passed without us taking a bitter sip. But, here we stand, struggling to move forward, seeking answers and looking for guidance. One day this will heal, but that is a long time coming. I have no words to fully express the shock and loss felt at this time. Tears have rolled, ceremonies have passed, but the deep cut left by Bryan's passing leaves a scar that will always insist we remember what he contributed to our lives. The in shop banter, the hours spent at the training table of BAFB, the TDY's and calls we rolled on, and/or the times you watched my children are among the many memories that make me smile and know that Senior Airman Bryan Bell was committed, dedicated and most of all enjoyed working in the Profession of Arms and contributing to the safety of others. A legacy that will forever be remembered as one who gave all while giving of himself.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Bryan will never be forgotten.

For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I'm home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I'm only a civilian
And I don't even know if it's allowed

But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.

For those missing in action;
for those who didn't make it home.
I know you're in God's presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.

I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

I salute you .

I Salute You.

To the family & wife of SrA Bell,

It is such an honor to have served with SrA Bell at Barksdale AFB. Softball seasons will not be the same without him. I wish the words I'm sorry could take away the grief. I have to believe God saves a special place for military men and women who make the ultimate sacrafice. RIP Bryan.

I had the privilege of being Bryan's Flight Commander at Barksdale. He was one of my baby Airmen, brand new to the Air Force when we arrived there on the same day. Over the three years together, through good times and bad, I've watched as he has grown-up. Bryan had matured into a confident young man with a gentle spirit. He was very proud of his sister the day she graduated from BMT. I never heard a negative word from Bryan about anyone else. When I broke the news to my wife, the first thing out of her mouth, “He was my favorite. He always had a smile and was always very polite.”
Thank you for sharing Bryan. I will never forget him.

My sincerest sympathies to all of you. Thank God for men & women like Bryan & for their families, because they to have much worry on their shoulders as well.
I normally try to separate my self from the pains of such news, however this time Bryan & his fellow soldiers have come close to my sole. You see I have a son & daughter in law both in the Air Force. Our daughter in law has been deployed to Afghanistan to replace Bryan, Matthew Schwartz & Matt Seider. She has been training with these good men & knew them well. So I ask you in your grief that you also pray for our daughter in law Sherri for her safety.
I know that Sherri would want to send her deepest sympathies to you also, she is very good at helping those out in need. Thank you so much for your prayers & rest assured Bryan is in ours. May Gods blessings rest upon you and your family.
