Slone & Co. Funeral DirectorsBryant Lee Barnes, Sr., age 52, passed away on August 17, 2025. He was born on June 29, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his loving parents, Mae Emma and Leroy Barnes.
Bryant was the beloved father of Bryant L. Barnes, Jr., Brandon Sweat, and Toran Deal, and the cherished grandfather of Kuarina Barnes, Neveah Barnes, and Brandon Sweat, Jr. He was the dear brother of Anthony Lee Golden, Matthew Barnes (Jacinda), and Carmellia Barnes, and a treasured uncle to Shanise Pierce, Mya Barnes, David Golden, Anthony Long, Jr., Mikah Broadnax, Cristien Pierce, and Skylar Curtis. He shared his life with his loving companion, Shanda Hickman.
Bryant was a man full of spirit and joy. He was known as a proud and devoted Cleveland Browns fan, who loved watching sports, cooking, grilling, and listening to music. Above all, Bryant cherished time spent with his family. Whether for a big celebration or a simple gathering, he found happiness in being surrounded by the people he loved most. He will be remembered for his laughter, warmth, and the love he poured into his family.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5 p.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 6 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111.
