Bryce John Edward Landry, 18, of Pensacola passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Bryce was born in Pensacola, Florida to his mother, Autumn Jenna Leigh Landry.
Bryce was an old soul from a very young age. He never met a stranger; Bryce had a special place in everyone's heart that met him. He was a champion for his younger sister and brother, a hero always checking on Cayden at school and looking after him at home, which was a challenge at times.
Bryce was a class of 2025 graduating senior at Umbrella Learning Academy.
Bryce encouraged friends to try things, ready to talk at just about any time if they needed an ear. He loved unconditionally. Bryce was a big ole teddy bear full of compassion and kindness. His beautiful smile would light up a room. He loved his family, elders, friends, and animals. He loved picking on his twin cousins, Alyssa and Aliyah, Del, and Cayden, spending hours around the pool or at the beach. Bryce enjoyed many sports especially hunting, fishing, and football. When not fishing he could be found gaming with his friends. Bryce loved to cook especially for family and his friends.
Bryce took his first job this past summer. He was proud to be a Whataburger cook working the 6:00 a.m. shift. He was a hard worker no matter what task he started once he started, he put his all into it. Bryce was interested in becoming a mechanic after graduating from high school and maybe taking up plumbing with his uncle Garrett. Bryce was especially proud and honored, to be uncle to Delila.
Bryce at the age of 2 years old placed his first Wreath at Barrancas National Cemetery during "Wreaths Across America" Saturday 2008 honoring Veterans. As Bryce got older, he would help unload the trucks, stage boxes, help distribute and continue to place wreaths on the graves of the fallen. Bryce and his sister were the first school age children involved in presenting the wreaths to the Military Members to post during the ceremony. He was always ready to volunteer at school no matter the task.
Bryce attended St. John's Catholic Church. He was Baptized and made his First Communion and promptly signed up for class so he could be an Alter Server at Mass. He attended St. John Catholic School from 1st to 5th grade. Transferring to Little Flower Catholic School and Church for middle school. Bryce was active in the church choir and played his heart out on the St. John/Little Flower combined school football team winning a CYSL Championship before graduating 8th grade during COVID.
Bryce is proceeded in death by his nana, Joan T. Landry; paternal great grandmother, Susan G. Marques; paternal great aunt, Jesse L. Hall; maternal great grandfather, Popo all of North Weymouth Massachusetts, and maternal grandfather, Joseph Edward Landry of Pensacola, Florida.
Bryce is survived by his mother, Autumn Jenna Leigh Landry; his sister, Delaynah M. Landry; his younger brother, Cayden F. Landry; his grandmother, Donna M. Landry "Dea" and grandfather Buster Hartford "Peps" all of Pensacola Florida.
Bryce is also survived by, his maternal great grandmother, MaryEllen Hall; his maternal great aunt both, and Heidi A. Herring (Mark) of North Weymouth, Massachusetts; his uncles, Jesse G. Landry (Amanda) of Pensacola, Florida, Colby A. Hartford (Shelbie) of Long Beach Mississippi, and Garett J. Hartford Landry (Monique) of Milton, Florida; cousins, Arianna, Alyssa, Aliyah, Hunter, Asher, Westin, and baby Hartford Landry; many members of our extended Florida family; close friends, Ava, Isaac, and Ben; and his special friend, Paige.
A service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Trahan Family Funeral Home, beginning with a visitation at 6:00 p.m., and the service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
We cannot express in words our sincere heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this immense time of loss leaving a void in our lives that will never be filled until we meet again.
